Notes & Posts
You gotta love Mexico! Mexican food, Mexican music & dance, the people ... all worth the trip! Since most of my family hailes from the southwest, I've visited Mexico many times going to places from Guaymas to Puerto Vallarta. I've often thought how good it would be to do Mexico voice overs or to be an American voice talent in Mexico ( talento de la voz ). Maybe being a voice over Puerto Vallarta expert or a voice talent for Guadalajara.
It would help of course to learn Spanish, and I will soon (almost done with the first of 3 CD's! ). But for now, I'll just have to be an English speaking voice over Acapulco or voiceover Tijuana professional. I imagine there are a lot of ads and promos and other things a Mexico company would need an American voice for, especially in the bigger tourist areas. Companies will need American voice over talents for their English-speaking audiences, such as those in Cancun would want a Cancun voice over artist.
There are many Mexican companies that will want to have their corporate and web videos in different languages, so being an American accented Mexico City narrator or Tijuana announcer or maybe Cancun announcer perhaps Rocky Point announcer or Acapulco narrator could be lucrative.
